The Cygnus Wall - Starless | Museum-Quality Fine Art Giclée Print

Explore the intricate clouds of Cygnus in this starless fine art print. With the stars removed during processing, delicate structures and flowing textures of cosmic gas and dust take centre stage, revealing an almost abstract view of the night sky.

Captured across multiple nights from my back garden in Wiltshire, this image brings together two panels, each containing 10 hours of exposure. The finished mosaic combines 240 individual five-minute exposures, captured through a duo-narrowband filter to isolate light emitted by hydrogen-alpha and oxygen.

A larger undertaking than my usual single-frame images, this project involved many hours of capture and careful processing in PixInsight and Photoshop. Seeing the two panels finally come together made every clear night worthwhile.

Reproduced using 12-colour giclée fine art printing, the image combines rich colour with subtle tonal depth on smooth matte paper. A distinctive piece for astronomy enthusiasts, art lovers and anyone drawn to the quieter details of the cosmos.

• Vivid colour and depth: 12-colour printing delivers accurate colours and finely rendered tonal transitions.

• Smooth matte finish: A clean, glare-free surface for a detailed display.
